Refund & Reservation Policy

At Christa Toygers, we strive to provide complete transparency regarding reservations,
payments, cancellations, refunds, and customer obligations. Because each kitten is
reserved exclusively for an individual family, this policy explains how refunds and
reservation deposits are handled to ensure fairness for both our customers and our breeding program.
1. Purpose of This Policy
This Refund & Reservation Policy outlines the conditions under which payments,
reservation deposits, transportation fees, and other charges may or may not be refunded.
By submitting payment to Christa Toygers, you acknowledge that you have read,
understood, and agreed to this policy.
2. Reservation Deposits
A reservation deposit secures a specific kitten and removes that kitten from public availability.
- A kitten is not considered reserved until a deposit has been received.
- Reservation deposits demonstrate a buyer's commitment.
- We may decline reservations at our discretion.
- Deposit amounts will be applied toward the final purchase price.
Important: Once a kitten is reserved, other potential families may be declined. For this reason, reservation deposits are generally refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.
3.Refundable Deposits
- Deposits are generally refundable.
- Deposits compensate for holding a kitten and removing it from availability.
- Breeding and care expenses continue regardless of buyer cancellation.
- Exceptions may be considered solely at our discretion.
4. Refund Eligibility
Refunds may be considered under specific circumstances, including:
- If Christa Toygers cancels the sale.
- If a reserved kitten becomes unavailable due to health concerns.
- If a veterinarian determines the kitten is unsuitable for placement.
- If no suitable replacement kitten is available.
5. Breeder Cancellation
If we determine that a kitten should not be placed due to health, safety,
or welfare concerns, buyers may be offered:
- A full refund of amounts paid.
- A transfer to a future litter.
- A replacement kitten when available.
6. Buyer Cancellation
- Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.
- Reservation deposits are generally refundable.
- Refunds of payments beyond the deposit may be reviewed individually.
- Approved refunds may be subject to administrative deductions.
7. Future Litter Transfers
At our discretion, deposits may be transferred to a future litter rather than refunded.
- Transfer eligibility is determined individually.
- Future availability cannot be guaranteed.
- Pricing changes may apply to future litters.
8. Health-Related Refund Requests
- All health concerns must be documented by a licensed veterinarian.
- Supporting veterinary records may be required.
- Claims must comply with the terms of the Health Guarantee.
- Routine veterinary expenses are not refundable.
9. Transportation & Shipping Fees
- Shipping and transportation fees are generally non-refundable once arrangements have been booked.
- Third-party transportation costs are controlled by the service provider.
- Airline, nanny, and courier fees may be subject to separate policies.
10. Missed Delivery Appointments
- Buyers are responsible for being available during scheduled delivery windows.
- Missed appointments may result in additional transportation charges.
- Rescheduling fees may apply.
11. Returned Kittens
We care deeply about every kitten produced through our breeding program.
If a family can no longer care for their kitten, we encourage them to contact us.
- Returns may be accepted at our discretion.
- Returned kittens do not automatically qualify for refunds.
- Transportation expenses remain the owner's responsibility.
12. Refusal of Ownership
If a buyer refuses to take possession of a reserved kitten without prior agreement,
payments already made may be forfeited.
13. Payment Processing Fees
- Payment processor fees may be deducted from approved refunds.
- Bank transfer charges may not be recoverable.
- Administrative processing costs may apply where permitted by law.
14. Fraud Prevention
To protect our customers and business, refund requests may be reviewed for verification purposes.
- Identity verification may be required.
- Supporting documentation may be requested.
- Fraudulent claims may be denied.
15. Processing Time for Approved Refunds
- Approved refunds are typically processed within 7–14 business days.
- Banking institutions may require additional processing time.
- Refund timing may vary by payment method.
16. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
Customers agree to contact Christa Toygers directly before initiating a chargeback
or payment dispute whenever possible.
17. Limitation of Refunds
- No refund shall exceed the amount actually paid to Christa Toygers.
- Incidental or consequential expenses are not refundable.
- Travel expenses incurred by the buyer are not refundable.
18. Exceptional Circumstances
We understand that unforeseen situations may occur. Requests outside this policy
may be reviewed individually and handled at our sole discretion.
19. Policy Modifications
Christa Toygers reserves the right to modify this Refund & Reservation Policy at any time.
